Bone Deformities

This rabbit, Gemma, developed a splay leg-like condition at only two weeks of age. For the story of Gemma and her siblings, please see "The Babies Journey" and please also read her Treatment page. Gemma's litter-mate, Clover, suffers from the same condition to a lesser degree. Please also see Clover's x-rays (and Treatment page). Note in particular the "bulges" in the leg bones, the loose joints, curved spine and malformed pelvis. Insets depict a normal rabbit.
