SURRENDERS
New Moon Rabbit Rescue does accept rabbits from owners wishing to surrender their pet, provided that we have foster space available to accommodate your rabbit.
Should you wish to speak to New Moon Rabbit Rescue about surrendering your rabbit(s), please contact us. We do not accept rabbits from breeders or from owners who have a history of breeding. Please review our Surrender Agreement in PDF format if you wish.
A fee is not required at the time of surrender, but please remember that we are not government funded and rely solely upon the kind donations of the public to continue our work with the rabbits. As such, we do appreciate and encourage a donation if you wish to surrender your rabbit. Your donation will help towards the cost of spays/neuters and medical care of rescued rabbits at New Moon.
Please note that New Moon Rabbit Rescue deals only with domestic rabbits. Should you have an issue with wild rabbits, please contact the appropriate wildlife authorities.
Should you find a stray domestic rabbit in your area, please contact us at 613-489-0480 or call your local SPCA/Humane Society immediately. Domestic rabbits are not safe in the wild and need aid as soon as possible.
